Introduction
The Specialization Course in Mathematics at Unicamp (see regulation here) was conceived due to Capes' initiative in creating the Program of Specialization in Mathematics, but which was abandoned soon after its creation. Our program did, however, continue to offer such a course guided by the following philosophy:
- Increase the target audience for Master's Degrees without affecting the academic quality and;
- Offer to teachers of mathematics the opportunity to correct eventual basic deficiencies existing in their mathematical background and improve their knowledge.
Vacancies and Target Audience
- The course is intended to candidates with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics or related fields (Physics, Engineering, Economy, Computer Sciences, etc).
- The number of vacancies is 20.
Admission and Application
- The selection of candidates for the Specialization Course in Mathematics will be made based on the information contained in the application form and academic records. The application form and academic records must be sent through the link: http://www.ime.unicamp.br/posgrad/inscricao/
- The admission may depend on successful performance in a selection exam whose dates are announced every semester by the Graduate Program Commission in Mathematics.
- The Graduate Program Commission may recommend to students to take courses in the Summer Program (January/February).
- After approval by the Program Commission, the candidate must enrol in the desired subjects as a special student through the link https://www.dac.unicamp.br/portal/tutoriais-dgva/tutorial-matricula/tutorial-para-inscricao-de-estudante-especial
