Regular Student
Application period for regular students:
- From September to October (dates to be defined) for the first semester of the sollowing year.
Note: For the second semester, we only accept students in exceptional cases.
Regular Student
May apply to the program bearers of an undergraduate diploma in several knowledge fields. For entry in March, the applications must be made from September to October (dates to be defined) of the previous year by the Office of Graduate Studies.
- Documents needed for the application:
- Certificate of undergraduation
- Application form for the desired course - filled;
- Undergraduate records (and also Master's Degree records for Ph.D. applicants)
Selected students can be sorted in two categories:
- Directly accepted to the program;
- Conditionally accepted by the performance in the summer course.
Enrollment
Once the candidate is approved in the selection process, he must go to the Office of Graduation Studies in order to enroll, according to the date established in the calendar of Unicamp's Academic Board (DAC).
The failure to attend the Academic Board within the regular period implies the automatic cancellation of his application.
Special Students
Will be accepted enrollments of students willing to attend isolated courses. The students in this condition will be Special Students and the credits obtained may be validated in case the student become a regular student in one of the Graduate Programs.

Note: The applicant should seek the teacher responsible for the course desired, before delivering the above documents.
The application period for special students is usually in the beginning of each semester. For more information about the exact deadlines refer to the Graduate Office or the Academic Board web site.
- Foreign Students
Enrollment
Following the approval in the selection process, the Program requests from DAC - Unicamp's Academic Board, the issuance of the letter of acceptance. DAC sends the letter to the Program which, in turn, forwards it to the candidate so he can obtain his student visa from the Brazilian consular office in his country of origin. Upon entry into Brazil, the applicant must, necessarily, register his student visa in the Federal Police Department, before the enrollment.
The foreign student must go to the Foreign Student Attendance of DAC before the enrollment, bearing the following documents:
Copies of the passport pages that contain:
- Personal information;
- Visa;
- Entry stamp;
- Visa registration stamp;
- Visa registration protocol;
- Insurance plan ensuring coverage of medical and hospital expenses and repatriation.
- All documents issued abroad must be legalized in the Brazilian consular office in the country of origin and accompanied by a sworn public translation.
- There is no inscription fee.
Important Notice
E-mail accounts for new students: An e-mail account will be available for new students in Master and Ph.D. The e-mail accounts must be obtained in the sector of informatics (Room 250, User support, second floor), in posession of a document with photo.The Secretariat of Graduation sends important information to the students exclusively to the e-mail list of Imecc, so it is indispensable to obtain the institutional e-mail.
